Ty Grenier

Hello! You've found my website. I'll explain a tiny bit about myself.

My name is Robert Tyrel Grenier, but just call me Ty. I'm from Alaska. Yes, normal(ish) people are actually born and live there. No, I didn't live in an igloo. And no, we don’t ride polar bears to school…that’s what the moose are for.

Up until college, the extent of my artistic experience involved a number 2 pencil and sheets of printer paper or, more usually, pages out of my notebooks for math and science. University kicked my butt hard, but I was fortunate enough to have good professors like Ron Spears and Ben Sowards, so that butt-kicking just ended up giving me some momentum forwards. Since getting my BFA I have continued to develop my art and myself.

I love creating things. To be able to take an idea and develop it visually is a great challenge, and giving people something exciting and interesting to look at is a great reward!
